The City of Da Nang
Da Nang is the 5th largest city in Vietnam and one of the most important port cities in the county. It lies on the coast of central Vietnam with more than 60k of shoreline and is the largest city in the region. It has a very vibrant city center and the highest urbanization ratio in the country.
It is also the central point connecting three UNESCO World Heritage sites including, Hue Citadel, Hoi An ancient town, and My Son Sanctuary. Da Nang is linked to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi by a major national highway and by railway and has the third busiest airport in Vietnam. It is certainly a fast-developing city and a very popular destination.
Local Attractions
The beaches in Da Nang are some of the most beautiful in the world, specifically My Khe beach, which was ranked in the top 6 by Forbes.
It also has many popular attractions that are well known throughout Vietnam, such as the Golden Bridge Hands located at Ba Na Hills, which has the longest cable car in the world, The Marble Mountains, which has a labyrinth of caves and spectacular views and the Son Tra Peninsula and National park, which has stunning beaches, rain forest and rare animals.
Other attractions of interest include Sun World Amusement Park, Cau Rong Dragon bridge, Han Market, as well as several water activities on Cham Island. There are also large -scale events that takes place annually that draw in people from all over the world, such as Danang International Fireworks Festival and the International Parasailing Contest
Local Cuisine
Da Nang is an absolute dream destination for foodies and is very well known throughout Vietnam for regional dishes such as Mi Quang, Bun Cha Ca, Banh Xeo and Nem Lui. There is an abundance of wonderful places to eat, from fantastic humble street food stands to more luxurious fine dining restaurants. You are sure to find interesting dishes and delicious cuisines when you come to this wonderful city.
