Over the course of 4 years, VUS and National Geographic Learning (NGL) have collaboratively hosted workshops for VUS teachers to help them develop professionally. One key factor in our successful partnership is Andy Duenas, a senior ELT consultant from NGL. With over a decade of teaching experience, including five years working in training and development, Duenas has been delivering presentations that share innovative and effective pedagogical practices with VUS teachers for about 2 years.
Collaborating closely with educators and administrators in Vietnam, he facilitates a deeper understanding of NGL’s Look and Time Zones books, from the authors’ intentions to practical applications in the classrooms.
Through his workshops, teachers are inspired to generate their own activities, enriching their students’ learning experiences. Notably, in the most recent workshop, our teachers actively participated and contributed valuable insights to the session. With teachers’ eagerness for learning and VUS’ commitment to delivering excellent quality of education, Duenas is confident in the significant growth of VUS’ academic staff.
