VUS CELEBRATES MOTHER’S LOVE: FROM TEACHER-MOMS TO HEARTFELT STUDENT LETTERS

Table of Contents

CELEBRATING THE AMAZING WOMEN WHO ARE BOTH TEACHERS AND MOMS

This Mother’s Day, we honor the incredible female teachers at VUS who take on two important roles — as teachers and as mothers.

In the classroom, they nurture young minds with knowledge and care. At home, they continue to give their love, strength, and guidance to their own children. Balancing these two roles takes dedication, patience, and heart — and they do it every day.

“During my pregnancy, I was truly fortunate to receive unwavering support from everyone at VUS.

My Teaching Quality Manager and Teacher Care staff were incredibly thoughtful—they adjusted my teaching schedule to better suit my condition and kindly moved my classroom from the third floor to the first to reduce physical strain.

My students, with their kindness and warmth, often brought me small treats like candies when I was feeling tired, and their cheerful presence never failed to lift my spirits.

The greatest joy lies in the moments of harmony between my two roles. When I experience stress at home, being in the classroom with my students provides a sense of relief and renewal.

At the end of the day, being welcomed by my children’s smiles after completing my teaching duties brings me immense happiness and fulfillment. It is both my privilege and passion to contribute to the growth and education of young minds.”

“I’ve been working as an English teacher at VUS Hoa Binh campus for 4 years, and I’m also a happy mom of a 5-year-old boy.

Being both a teacher and a mom has been a rewarding journey full of learning and love. These two roles help me understand children better from different perspectives — both at home and in the classroom — giving me deeper insight into their behavior and helping me guide my son more effectively.

To stay balanced, I always remind myself to “Be present.” I try not to work while playing with my son, and I avoid personal distractions at work. Staying focused helps me be fully engaged in every role I take. I’m currently teaching a class of students the same age as my son, and one day, a student started crying because he couldn’t do something he wanted. It reminded me so much of my own child.

I gently calmed him down and explained things to him, and in that moment, I truly felt like both a teacher and a mom — using empathy and understanding to support him.”

VUS TEACHERS INSPIRE HEARTFELT MOTHER'S DAY LETTERS

Also for Mother’s Day, love and care weren’t just shown by our teacher-moms; VUS students also expressed their heartfelt appreciation. Join VUS as we look back at the warm moments when students wrote letters to their mothers.

With the thoughtful guidance of their dedicated teachers, VUS students participated in a special letter-writing activity. This allowed them to express the many loving words in their hearts and adorn their letters with eye-catching designs before presenting them to their mothers.

More than just an opportunity for students to convey their love and respect, this activity also served as a valuable chance for teachers and students to connect through a meaningful shared experience, promising to be a memorable occasion for both.
