As for Mr. Kevin’s part, his experience with VUS in terms of support and training quality has been wonderful so far:
“The Training Quality Manager (TQM) and the Human Resources Teachers department are well-spoken, and the senior teachers understand TESOL methodology to engage students. The training program at VUS is one of the best programs I have seen in my fifteen years of teaching experience. The VUS campus reminds me of American-style private centers in the USA. It opens the classroom up for more games and activities with body language, TPR, flashcards and toys. Overall, everything is excellent and the experience is easy-going for new teachers. VUS is awesome, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this team for a long-lasting relationship.”

“I really enjoy the bonding activities at my campus, and I think a lot of people do enjoy them as well. There have been more activities for employees at the campus, we have more chances to get around to talk and share about everything. As for students at VUS, it’s very nice to have students remember you after a long time. There was one student in an IELTS class that I taught, she was surprised to see me on the first day at class because I used to teach her when she first started at VUS. I was her first teacher at VUS and surprisingly, I was also her last teacher at VUS.”

(Vietnamese below): “When teaching at VUS, I don’t need to bring my personal laptop because teachers can easily view and prepare lessons right on the school’s portal system. With classrooms always equipped with computers, teachers only need to log in and can teach right away. Not only before each lesson, VUS also supports teachers very enthusiastically before each new program. Currently I am teaching Kids – Teen and Adults levels. Before teaching these levels, I was always guided by the TQM about the curriculum and programs of each level, so that I could work more conveniently and effectively.”
“Khi giảng dạy tại VUS, mình không cần phải mang theo laptop cá nhân vì giáo viên có thể dễ dàng xem được bài học và chuẩn bị bài ngay trên hệ thống portal của trường. Với việc các phòng học luôn được trang bị sẵn máy tính, giáo viên chỉ cần đăng nhập và có thể dạy ngay. Không chỉ tiện lợi về mặt chuẩn bị trước mỗi buổi học, VUS còn hỗ trợ giáo viên rất tận tình trước khi dạy mỗi chương trình mới. Hiện tại mình đang dạy các cấp độ Kids – Teen và Adults. Trước khi dạy các cấp độ này, mình luôn được TQM hướng dẫn chi tiết về giáo trình và chương trình của từng cấp độ, từ đó mình có thể làm việc thuận tiện và hiệu quả hơn.”

(English below): “Em đã có cơ hội tham gia vào nhiều buổi tập huấn khác nhau như tập huấn Kỹ năng quản lý lớp học hiệu quả và Tư duy dịch vụ khách hàng. Khi bắt đầu công việc trợ giảng, vì chưa có kinh nghiệm nào liên quan đến công việc này, em còn gặp khó khăn khi bắt các bé phải tuân theo ý mình hoặc giáo viên vì không hiểu ý kiến của các bé. Tuy nhiên, sau khi tham gia các buổi tập huấn tại VUS, em đã được hướng dẫn cách phân tích tâm lý học viên cũng như những kỹ năng trao đổi hiệu quả với các bé. Việc được theo chân các bé từ đầu khoá đến cuối khoá để thấy sự tiến bộ của các bé trong học tập và trong những kỹ năng sống thường ngày chính là niềm vui to lớn nhất của em trong công việc này.”
“I have had the opportunity to participate in many different workshops such as Classroom Management or Customer Service Mindset workshops. When I started working as a teaching assistant, because I didn’t have any experience related to this job, I still had difficulty getting the children to be obedient because I did not understand the students very well. However, after participating in training sessions at VUS, I was instructed on how to analyze students’ psychology and how to effectively communicate with them. Being able to accompany the students from the beginning to the end of the course to see their progress in learning and in daily life skills is my biggest joy in this job.”
