Job requirements

Duties
- Use provided materials designed exclusively for students, following international standard teaching frameworks

The job requirements for Vietnamese teachers are as follows:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in English Language Teaching; or
- A Bachelor’s Degree in English Language Studies (a teaching certificate can be provided later)
- Availability on weekday evenings and weekends
Candidates who do not major in English Language but hold a teaching certificate can still apply; however, those who meet the requirements listed above are preferred in the recruitment process.
An international English certificate is not compulsory to apply. However, an IELTS band score of 7.5 or above is preferred.
Regarding job requirements, experience is a plus.
Your application will be carefully reviewed by our Human Resources Teachers (HRT) Department . However, due to the high number of applicants we receive, only candidates who are short-listed will be contacted for an interview.
VUS TAs and TAs at other centers who meet the following requirements can apply for a teaching position at VUS:

VUS will try our best to assign new hires to centers that are close to their residences. However, as the vacancies may change on a regular basis, locations will be discussed during the job interview. Teachers can request a transfer with clear reasons after 6 months of employment with VUS. Transfers will be approved by the Human Resources Teachers (HRT) Department based on, but not limited to, the following criteria:
- Feedback on teachers’ performance
- Teachers’ disciplinary record
- Recruitment needs of VUS (i.e. current vacancies, teachers’ availability and/or location, etc.)
- First-come, first-served basis
A pay raise is considered based on your annual teaching performance, and not on your qualifications of higher education.
