Starting a new role as a Teaching Assistant (TA) can be both exciting and engaging. New TAs often face challenges in the classroom and may feel hesitant to ask for help. Therefore, these sharing sessions are the perfect space for experienced TAs to offer solutions and advice to new ones on how to handle difficult circumstances.
Last August, VUS TAs at Nguyen Anh Thu 2 campus participated in an insightful workshop on “How to Help Students with Special Needs” led by one of our own talented TAs. The workshop was highly immersive, covering the common needs of these students and how TAs can effectively assist them. In addition to learning theoretical concepts, participants had the chance to discuss real-life situations and share their opinions, making the session both interactive and practical.
At VUS, we value collective growth and learning. Accordingly, these workshops provide TAs with an opportunity to share knowledge and support each other in becoming outstanding educators.
