Celebrating the Women Who Inspire Every Classroom

As International Women’s Day approaches, VUS proudly celebrates the incredible women who bring passion, dedication, and inspiration to English classrooms.

From teachers and teaching assistants to leaders and mentors, women at VUS play a vital role in shaping meaningful learning experiences. Through their care, resilience, and encouragement, they help students grow with confidence and develop a lifelong love for learning.

Let’s honor the women of VUS — the educators, supporters, and role models who teach, lead, and inspire with heart.

Who are these incredible women, and what stories do they tell?

With over three years at VUS Di An, Ms. Nguyen Vu Nhat Quynh believes that connection is the foundation of meaningful teaching. With patience, attentiveness, and genuine care, she creates a classroom where students feel safe enough to learn, speak, and grow.

“Building trust with my students creates a safe space where they feel confident to grow,” she shares. For her, the greatest reward is seeing shy learners slowly find their voice and express themselves in English.

Once inspired by dedicated teachers herself, she now hopes to be that same source of encouragement. “A caring teacher can change a student’s entire journey,” she reflects.

When a former student told her, “I still remember your reading lessons,” she was reminded that the quiet impact of a teacher often lives far beyond the classroom.

As an English Education major, Ms. Vu Thi Phuong Hoa describes her journey as a Teaching Assistant at VUS as a series of meaningful “first times,” where patience, empathy, and gentle encouragement gradually shape young learners’ confidence.

One of the most unforgettable moments happened in a Happy Kid class, when a young student suddenly burst into tears after listening to her explanation. “I was terrified,” she recalls. “I thought I had done something wrong.”

But the reason was unexpected. The little girl was crying because it was the first time she truly understood what someone was explaining to her in English.

“That smile afterward meant everything to me,” Ms. Hoa shares. “Every small breakthrough from my students reminds me why I chose this path.”

Through these classroom moments, she has not only applied what she learned in theory, but also discovered how much heart, care, and quiet dedication teaching truly requires.

For Ms. Cyrelyn Limosnero, the most meaningful moments in teaching often come in the simplest words, where warmth and genuine care quietly build lasting connections with her students.

Every time she walks into a new course and hears students light up with, “Teacher, it’s you again!” or “Will you be our teacher this term?” she feels deeply moved.

“It’s not about how well I teach,” she shares. “It’s about how much they want to learn with me.”

From Happy Kids to Teens, being remembered and requested by her students reminds her that real impact goes beyond textbooks. It lives in trust, kindness, and the reassuring presence students feel in her classroom.

At VUS, she continues building those connections, with patience, encouragement, and a smile that makes every class feel welcoming.

For Ms. Trinh Thanh Trang, returning to VUS To Ngoc Van as a Teaching Assistant feels like a full-circle journey, guided by the same encouragement and care that once helped her grow.

She was once a shy student who hesitated to raise her hand, quietly dreaming of speaking English with confidence. “Back then, my teachers opened a window to a bigger world for me,” she recalls. “They didn’t just teach, they inspired.”

Now, standing at the front of the classroom, she sees reflections of her younger self in her students. Some are quiet, some unsure, but each carries their own hopes. Through small handwritten notes of encouragement and simple words like “I’m proud of you,” she helps them believe a little more in themselves each day, offering the same patience and reassurance she once received.

“It reminded me that the heart of teaching is not only knowledge, but kindness,” she shares.

From student to Teaching Assistant, her journey is woven with gratitude, growth, and the quiet strength of uplifting others as they discover their own aspirations.

On this International Women’s Day, VUS sends our warmest wishes to all the women who continue to inspire, support, and make a difference in every classroom.

May your dedication, strength, and kindness always be celebrated — today and every day.
