The VUS TESOL Conference is an annual event offering free registration to everyone in the ELT community. It provides numerous opportunities for researchers, teachers, and school administrators to exchange ideas and practices, staying updated with the latest ELT trends.
This year’s event was a massive success, featuring 24 sessions by 27 world-renowned speakers from prestigious institutions, including National Geographic Learning, Macmillan Education, Oxford University Press, and more. All the presentations were insightful and practical, covering topics such as innovative teaching methods, technology in education, and inclusivity. Many attendees found these sessions useful, practical, and relevant, and many couldn’t wait to apply them in their classrooms.
🤩 The anticipation for the event was unparalleled. Upon opening the registration portal, we set a new record with over 1,000 registrations within 24 hours. As a result, over 1,200 participants had joined us from 33 countries and 51 provinces in Vietnam. The diverse and enthusiastic turnout highlighted the event’s broad appeal and global reach, bringing together educators and professionals from around the world to share their knowledge and experiences.
At our HRT booth, over 1,000 people checked in and participated in our minigames for amazing prizes. Our recruitment team also had the opportunity to share information about available teaching positions for Vietnamese and expat teachers and teaching assistants. The ‘Lucky Draw’ provided another opportunity for the audience to win exclusive training courses from VUS and famous publishers.
As a special feature of this year’s conference, “The Debate” made its debut. In this session, speakers and attendees engaged in a heated discussion on test achievement versus learning values in the classroom. Both sides presented strong arguments and rebuttals, creating an intense atmosphere.
