Recently, representatives from VUS visited the General Science Library of Ho Chi Minh City to donate nearly 200 English books from renowned global publishers Macmillan and Oxford. The donation aims to foster a love of reading English books among children across the city.
The General Science Library will distribute these books to 21 school libraries throughout Ho Chi Minh City and Thu Duc City. Additionally, the library will allocate some of the books to mobile library projects, making it easier for students in more remote areas to access them, whether in their school libraries or through the mobile libraries.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Thy, Deputy Director of the General Science Library, expressed her gratitude for VUS’ contribution, stating, “This is a highly meaningful community initiative. These books will enhance the library’s collection, and we will make sure they reach readers quickly. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with VUS on future community projects.”
This donation is part of VUS’ ongoing efforts to spread the message “Empowering Aspirations, Together” launched in early May 2024.
