At VUS, the start of a new year is a time to reconnect and welcome new beginnings. Traditionally, “Hái Lộc” (Picking luck) represents the hope of receiving small signs of good fortune for the year ahead. With “Lộc” symbolizing both young leaves and blessings, this practice carries a beautiful message of growth, positivity, and renewal.
Continuing this spirit, Springtime Fortune 2026 was held across VUS campuses, bringing our teaching staff together to celebrate Tet in a simple yet heartfelt way.

Welcoming The New Year With Shared Wishes
Shortly after the Tet holiday, VUS teaching staff were invited to join the Springtime Fortune activity at their campuses. Each participant had the chance to receive a lucky envelope prepared for the occasion, carrying warm New Year wishes and a small token of good fortune.
Turning Everyday Moments Into Tet Memories
One of the celebration’s highlights was the tradition of wearing “Áo dài”, Vietnam’s iconic attire. Our teachers embraced the festive spirit by dressing in colorful áo dài, creating a vibrant atmosphere and capturing memorable moments. For many expat teachers, it was also a wonderful opportunity to appreciate an important aspect of Vietnamese culture firsthand.
VUS campuses also brought the Tet spirit to life through traditional games inspired by national New Year customs, such as Vietnamese Bingo or lucky draw sessions. Filled with laughter and friendly competition, these experiences gave colleagues from different backgrounds a chance to connect and celebrate the season together.
This was especially meaningful for those spending Tet away from their families. By sharing these festive traditions, VUS continued to be a place where teaching staff could find connection, care, and a sense of belonging.
Sharing The Festive Spirit Online
This year, we also introduced a special New Year Story Template on Instagram, giving our teachers and staff another way to capture and share their Tet moments. The VUS frame added a splash of spring to everyday memories. It also helped extend the festive spirit beyond each campus, allowing members of the community to share joy, positivity, and New Year wishes with one another online.
Through both offline and online activities, Springtime Fortune 2026 became a celebration of connection in many forms: a lucky envelope in hand, a photo with colleagues or a simple story shared with the community.
