The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for joy, togetherness, and reflection. This year, VUS campuses across Vietnam, including those in Vinh Long, Phu Yen, Thanh Hoa, and others, embraced the spirit of the festival with a variety of fun and engaging activities for students, teachers, and staff alike.
Fun-Filled Activities for Students
At several campuses, students were immersed in the excitement of traditional Mid-Autumn festivities while enhancing their English language skills. Activities such as lantern-making and mooncake preparation were integrated into the curriculum to create a learning experience that was both educational and enjoyable. These hands-on activities provided students with an opportunity to practice English in a creative and interactive environment, making the learning process feel more natural and fun.
Teachers and teaching assistants (TAs) contributed to the festive atmosphere by dressing up as the Moon Lady and the Moon Boy. Their active participation not only brought smiles to the children but also helped create a warm, friendly environment where students could feel connected to the culture and traditions of the festival. The enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the VUS teaching team ensured that the children’s experience was memorable and full of joy.
Mini Gatherings for Teaching Staff
In addition to the student-focused celebrations, some VUS campuses also organized mini gatherings for their teaching staff. These gatherings were an excellent opportunity for teachers and staff to come together, share experiences, and enjoy the Mid-Autumn Festival in a more intimate, team-oriented setting. It was a time for staff members to unwind and relax while fostering stronger connections with their colleagues.
The gatherings not only allowed teachers and staff to celebrate the festival but also provided a space for reflection and bonding, helping to reinforce the sense of community and teamwork within VUS.
